Boomers release schedule, ticket plans

The Schaumburg Boomers will open their 96-game sophomore season at Boomers Stadium on May 16, team officials announced Wednesday.

Season Tickets and ticket packages are on sale now with limited-time discounts available until Nov. 30, 2012. Call 847.461.3695 or vist www.boomersbaseball.com for more ticket details.

The Boomers will host 12 fireworks nights in 2013, including every Friday home game.

“The countdown to Opening Day is now officially under way and we can’t wait to get another season started,” said Boomers president/GM Andy Viano, noting the schedule will feature three more home dates and three additional fireworks shows than last season.

Boomers Day Camp Days are back again after a successful 2012 debut with two 11 a.m. games for campers — June 19 and July 23. Rounding out the special start times is Kids’ Day with an 11 a.m. first pitch on May 29 with all area schools invited to send their students to the ballpark.
