Wauconda Lions host annual dinner

The Wauconda Lions Club will host its 31st annual Calcutta dinner/raffle on Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Mill Creek Banquets, 333 W. Mill St., Wauconda. Cocktails will be served at 6 p.m., and dinner at 7 p.m. The raffle will begin at 8:15 p.m. The $125 ticket price includes dinner for two, and a chance at the $5,000 raffle. Live music and dancing, a silent auction and raffle prizes are featured. Proceeds will be used to advance the club’s charitable causes, including assistance for the vision and hearing-impaired, support for the township food pantry and local youth programs, scholarships for local high school graduates, and financial aid for medical missions and disaster relief throughout the world.
