Stop the abuse of disability claims
In the Sept. 14 edition of the Daily Herald, I was dismayed to see the “60 seconds” story that claimed “Disability claims unscrutinized.” If there ever was a situation that required attention, it is the misuse and abuse of this well-intentioned government program. I believe this is an area of concern for conservatives and liberals. The Social Security Administration must take the time to check. Time is money! Social Security disability insurance won’t be there for those who really deserve it if we allow the liars and cheaters to abuse it.
