CORPAK acquires Merck Serono’s U.K. sales, distribution

BUFFALO GROVE — CORPAK MedSystems, Inc., said it will acquire the gastroenterology sales and distribution operation of Merck Serono Limited in the U.K. and Ireland.

Merck Serono had previously served as CORPAK’s distribution partner for the region.

“The acquisition of the Merck Serono gastroenterology business strengthens our presence in Europe and our direct operation will support high levels of customer service and continued growth,” said Tom Kuhn, president of CORPAK. “I would like to thank the employees at Merck Serono for their support in building the CORPAK business in the UK and Republic of Ireland.”

There will be no change to the product range and all CORPAK products will continue to be available on the current codes and prices. The acquisition keeps relationships with existing sub-distributors unchanged.
