Hoffman Estates Scarecrow Festival Saturday

The Hoffman Estates Park District is hosting its fifth annual Scarecrow Festival from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, at Vogelei Park, near the corner of Golf and Higgins roads. The event is being held in conjunction with the World Wide Day of Play. Both events are free and include many family activities, including inflatables, games, face painting, balloon artists, a climbing wall and more. Guests can submit a scarecrow to a contest for free. Anyone who takes part in the contest can pay $20 to have a table to promote their business. A stake and hay bale will be provided for competitors. The winner of the business category will win a free business size ad in the park district’s winter guide, which is issued in November. For information or to register visit heparks.org.
