Charity seeks warehouse space in Lake County

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Chicago is seeking a donor in central Lake County to provide about 1,500 square feet of temporary warehouse pace to be used in September and October in advance of the opening of a new thrift store in the Greentree shopping center in Libertyville. The charitable group is remodeling the store in preparation for an opening this fall. The stores sell gently used items to people of all means, and also through a voucher system provide clothing, furniture, housewares and other items in emergency situations to struggling families. The group also is seeking donations of store fixtures, printing services and truck signage. In Lake County, St. Vincent has volunteer sites in Buffalo Grove, Grayslake, Gurnee, Ingleside, Lake Villa, Lake Zurich, Mundelein and Wauconda. Call (847) 367-4700.
