Fire scouting report
Chicago Fire at D.C. United
When: 6:30 p.m. at RFK Stadium
TV: Comcast SportsNet
Scouting the Fire: The Fire (12-7-5, 41 points) is riding a three-game winning streak, but those wins came against teams that probably won’t make the playoffs. United will present more of a challenge. Chris Rolfe has scored 4 goals in the last four games.
Scouting D.C. United: The defense for D.C. United (11-8-4, 37 points) will be hard-pressed to deal with the speedy Fire, especially without suspended center back Emilaino Dudar. Branko Boskovic also was red-carded Sunday and will be suspended for this match. Chris Pontius has 10 goals, and Dwayne De Rosario has 10 assists.
Next: Houston Dynamo at Toyota Park, 7:30 p.m., Sept. 2
