14-year-old among 13 shot in Chicago overnight

Chicago police say a 14-year-old boy is among 12 people wounded and one killed in separate shootings on Saturday night.

Police told the Chicago Tribune (http://trib.in/N9DD8m ) the 14-year-old is in stable condition at a children’s hospital. They didn’t have more details on that shooting.

An 18-year-old man was killed. Police say he was found in a doorway with a gunshot wound to the head about 8 p.m. Saturday. Police found a gun near his body.

It has been a violent weekend in Chicago. Police say at least 30 people have been shot since about 6:30 p.m. Friday, including six who died.

The violence includes three people shot about two blocks south of U.S. Cellular Field. Police say one was a man in his 20s who was shot eight times.
