On Saturday, Aug. 18, the North McHenry Relay For Life Committee has partnered with Stade's Farm & Market, Star 105.5 and Y103.9 in hosting the "Concert For The Cure."

This daylong event will start at 8 a.m. with a 5K trail run and 1-mile fun run. Race registration fee is $35 for the 5K for ages 14 and older, $15 for ages 13 and younger; cost for the 1-mile fun run is $10.

The concert series will begin at noon with six acts set to perform: acoustic guitarist Alexis Chancellor, Cary's own Western Sky Band, Rough Night Out, Kevin Purcell and the Night Burners, American Idol top 10 finalist Gina Glocksen, and headliners Modern Day Romeos.

Kids' activities and rides, food, beer garden and vendor fair also will be going on during the day. Tickets are $10 in advance online, $15 at the door. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. Go to relayconcert.org to purchase tickets, register for the race, and learn more about the bands and more.

The fundraiser run and concert to benefit the American Cancer Society will be held at Stade's Farm and Market, 3709 W. Miller Road, McHenry. Visit relayconcert.org.
