Pitching matchups:The Cubs' Travis Wood (4-8) vs. Bronson Arroyo (8-7) Friday at 6:10 p.m.; Jeff Samardzija (8-10) vs. Johnny Cueto (15-6) Saturday at 12:10 p.m.; Brooks Raley (0-2) vs. TBD Saturday at 6:10 p.m.; Chris Volstad (0-9) vs. Mat Latos (10-3) Sunday at 12:10 p.m.

At a glance:The Reds appear to be cruising to the NL Central title. They knocked off the Cubs three of four last weekend at Wrigley Field. Jay Bruce (24 home runs entering Thursday) and Ryan Ludwick (21) have more than picked up the slack for the injured Joey Votto. The Reds were second in the NL in homers and third in ERA (3.35). The Cubs are officially TBD for Saturday's second game, but Brooks Raley likely will be called up from Class AAA Iowa to start. No Cub has hit much off Arroyo. Saturday's doubleheader is a makeup of a rainout in May.
