Parks and schools are teaming up now
I am writing to offer my family’s positive park district experiences, in response to Harry Trumfio’s recent letter suggesting the park district and school districts should “team up.”
The park district and school districts already are teamed up. They have been for at least the past couple decades.
While my two sons are now grown adults, they played in many park district sports while growing up. Besides being played in different parks, those park district sports were played at gyms and ball fields on various school properties.
My suggestion would be for people with questions to simply call the park district and ask about their programs.
We are fortunate in Arlington Heights that our park district and school districts do cooperate.
