Janelle’s Delectable Sauce

cup horseradish mustard

cup honey

2 tablespoons ketchup

1 tablespoon ground cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon minced garlic

½ teaspoon habanero-flavored Tabasco sauce

Juice from ½ orange (about 2 tablespoons)

Combine the mustard, honey, ketchup, cayenne, vinegar, garlic, Tabasco sauce and orange juice in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a boil. Remove from the heat and let it rest for 2 minutes before using; or allow it to cool, then cover tightly and refrigerate in an airtight container. It can be kept for about 1 week. Try it on grilled poultry, beef, seafood or vegetables.

Makes 1 cup.
