Find a summer novel at Barrington used book sale

What better way to spend a summer afternoon than buried in a book?

The Friends of the Barrington Area Library will hold its June book sale Saturday, June 16. and Sunday, June 17, at the library, 505 N. Northwest Hwy., Barrington. Saturday hours will be 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sunday hours will be 1-5 p.m.

The sale will feature a wide selection of both adult and children’s books, as well as a large selection of CDs, videotapes, DVDs and other materials. Most items — except for some rare or older books — will be offered at two for one on Sunday.

All proceeds from the Friends’ book sales help to purchase items for the library that are not covered by the regular budget. Friends contributions helped fund the library’s new “smart” meeting room and its new delivery van; other items that the sales have helped to fund include books for the Summer Reading Club, Flip video cameras, and computer equipment and software for patrons and staff.
