Shatner trekking to Aurora's Paramount Theatre stage

Just a few months removed from a one-night-only performance in Chicago of his acclaimed one-man show about his years in show business, William Shatner announced he's bringing the show back to the area with a Jan. 4 appearance at Aurora's Paramount Theatre.

Tickets for the show go on sale June 11 for the general public. Subscribers of the theater can reserve seats now, Paramount officials said.

"Shatner's World" blends the iconic television actor's take on his career with an array of audio and visual elements.

Best known for his role as Capt. James T. Kirk in the original "Star Trek" series of the 1960s, Shatner also earned fame as the eponymous "T.J. Hooker" and later as Denny Crane in "Boston Legal." In recent years, he's become as famous for being himself as for the characters he's portrayed throughout his career. He's been the subject of a Comedy Central roast and played himself in a number of movies and television appearances.

For more information about the show, call Paramount Theatre's box office at (630) 896-6666.
