What the experts at Aquascape Designs suggest, on a budget of $2,000-$5,000:
An 8-by-11-foot Aquascape Ecosystem Pond will create a true, backyard oasis for this suburban home. The water garden, complete with colorful koi, oversized boulders and aquatic plants will provide a great focal point from the oversized, back window. The homeowners can also throw open the windows and hear the soothing sounds of the waterfall. As they sit on their patio they can view the fish and even feed them by hand as the koi learn to come to the pond’s edge for their special treats. And with LED lighting, the new pond will give both ambience and enhanced nighttime viewing.
