Support your local library

I am writing to recognize the importance of libraries and how they enhance our community through the programs and services they offer. I encourage Elgin area residents to visit the Gail Borden Public Library, if they don’t commonly do so, to check out some of the neat services and programs the library offers to them.

Libraries also serve a vital function in aiding our youth find interesting books that promote learning. Our local and school libraries play a huge role and do a great job of helping engage young children in positive and educational ways.

I would like to thank library staff at all our local and school libraries for the hard work they do, on a daily basis, to promote reading and education as a way to better our whole community.

As always, I am here to represent the community and will continue to fight to assist our local libraries.
