2 more charged in West Chicago synthetic pot bust

Two more men have been arrested in connection with a synthetic marijuana crackdown at a West Chicago gas station, police announced Tuesday.

Gopesh Patel, 53, of Bloomingdale, and Rajinder Shoor, 42, of Carol Stream, were charged Friday with drug possession with intent to deliver at a Shell station on the 100 block of North Avenue, according to a news release.

Police said the arrests stemmed from a follow-up investigation at the gas station, where one employee was arrested March 22 during a police search for synthetic marijuana. Police said the Shell station on North Avenue and another one on Neltnor Boulevard both carried the banned products, known commonly as K2 and Spice.
