Schakowsky aide speaking to Wheeling Twp. Democrats

Alex Armour, the political director for Congressman Jan Schakowsky, will speak Wednesday before the Wheeling Township Democratic Organization (WTDO), the group announced.

Armour will discuss Schakowsky's re-election campaign and the overall 2012 election. In addition, the keynote speaker for WTDO's annual Botterman Breakfast will be revealed.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and the program will start at 7 p.m. The WTDO office is located at 1310 W. Northwest Highway in Arlington Heights.

Attendees are asked to donate nonperishable food items, personal hygiene goods and home cleaning supplies for the Wheeling Township Food Pantry. Schakowsky is facing a challenge in next month's Democratic primary from Simon Ribeiro of Evanston.
