LHS principal preparing to retire:
Libertyville High School Principal Marina Scott has announced plans to retire in June 2017, Libertyville-Vernon Hills High School District 128 documents indicate. Scott’s pending retirement was included on the agenda for Monday’s meeting of the district’s program and personnel committee. School administrators in Illinois typically announce retirement plans far in advance because of a state retirement-system requirement. Scott has been principal at Libertyville High since 2009. Associate Superintendent Al Fleming also plans to retire in June 2017, the agenda indicates. Monday’s committee meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. at the district office in Vernon Hills.
