Barrington fire district releases safety guide

The Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District has published the first issue of its new Public Safety Guide, a publication designed to help residents learn more about fire safety and take steps to protect their families.

The two-page guide, which also provides timely information on fire and emergency medical services, is available on the district’s website, bcfpd.org.

The first issue features articles on the benefits of automatic fire sprinkler systems, complimentary property inspections offered by the Barrington Fire Department, the district’s Home Emergency Location Plan (HELP), and the Knox-Box rapid entry system in use by a growing number of district residents.
