State treasurer brings 'Cash Dash' to Lombard Village Hall

LOMBARD, Illinois—Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford will be visiting the Lombard Village Hall on January 17 when “Cash Dash” comes to Lombard.

“Cash Dash” is a program sponsored by the Illinois State Treasurer's Office that reunites Illinoisans with their unclaimed property. Banks and businesses are required to turn over unclaimed property to the Treasurer's Office if they are unable to locate the rightful owner after five years.

Lombard Village President William Mueller invited Treasurer Rutherford to the Village Hall as part of the “Cash Dash” event. Several attendees at the Village's Senior Fair in October had discovered unclaimed property so a separate event for all residents will be held at the Village Hall.

The “Cash Dash” event will run from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the Community Room of Village Hall. Treasurer Rutherford will be present at approximately 1 p.m. to receive a key to the Village from Mueller, as well as to address residents on the “Cash Dash” event and other programs his office provides.

Please note: The date for this event has been changed to January 17, which is different than was published in the Lombard Pride. This is due to a date change for the Village blood drive, which will be held January 18.
