$10M gift largest in DePaul University history

Anonymous donors are pledging $10 million to DePaul University, the largest gift in the school’s 113-year history.

The Chicago Tribune reports that the money will go to student scholarships and a professorship in the College of Commerce. The donors are an alumnus and his wife who asked to remain anonymous.

The Rev. Dennis Holtschneider, DePaul’s president, said the money will “change the lives of countless students.”

DePaul is conducting a $250 million fundraising campaign called “Many Dreams, One Mission.” More than 25,000 donors have given $215.3 million since 2007.
