Armed robbery at McHenry 7-Eleven

A man brandishing a knife robbed a McHenry 7-Eleven early Sunday morning, police said.

McHenry police responded to a call about 1 a.m. Sunday to the convenience store at 3808 W. Elm St. A man entered the store with a knife, threatened the lone employee and took an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

Officials said no other customers were in the store, and no one was hurt.

Police continue to investigate the robbery. No one was in custody as of late Sunday.
