Customers rally around Nick’s Pizza

Recently, we received the sad news that Nick’s Pizza and Pub at Randall and Bowes roads in Elgin may be closing unless a miracle occurs.

I have been a regular of Nick’s and have seen the dinner crowds diminish especially during the construction on Randall Road before the opening of Walmart. On Sept. 28, however, it was right out of “It’s a Wonderful Life” as the community came and rallied around Nick’s. The tables were full, the servers were running, and the hostess was happily calling waiting customers to their tables. The buzz of a prosperous restaurant was being heard once again.

Nick was there, as he often is, to greet his customers and bus tables — appreciative, I’m sure — of those who came out in support of his restaurant and the hard working staff. But that support has to continue so that a miracle on Randall Road can happen. Stop by Nick’s to lend your support and enjoy the best pizza in town.
