Charter Fitness to hire 200 employees over next 12 months

ORLAND PARK — Charter Fitness plans to fill 200 new positions over the next 12 months.

The jobs are created as a result of 38 Cardinal Fitness locations in Chicagoland, Northwest Indiana and downstate Illinois converting to Charter Fitness. The conversion of Cardinal Fitness makes Charter Fitness the largest health club business in Chicagoland. Charter Fitness also began franchising its brand on September 1.

“We are very happy to be creating so many jobs for our communities. The additional staff is needed in order to increase our focus on the member experience and provide our communities with the very best in fitness services. Over the next year, we will be hiring more than 200 employees, including personal trainers, customer service representatives and managers,” said Dan Collins, director of sales, Charter Fitness.

The newly converted clubs will also receive new facilities, renovations and updated equipment. Despite the major investments in both facilities and staff, Charter Fitness will continue to offer memberships for as low as $10 per month.

Job seekers are encouraged to apply online at CharterFitness.com. Franchising information for Charter Fitness is also available at the website.
