At a glance: For the first time in recent memory, the Pirates were buyers at the trading deadline as they try to stay in the NL Central race. They acquired former Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee from Baltimore on Saturday. The Pirates entered Sunday fourth in the NL in runs scored, 14th in homers and 12th in on-base percentage. Their pitchers had the league’s fifth-best ERA (3.41). Andrew McCutchen led the team in homers and OBP. The Cubs are 3-6 against the Pirates this year, 1-2 at PNC Park.
