AquaSprites advance 14 routines to U.S. championship in Washington

The Lattof Y AquaSprites Synchronized Swim Team advanced 14 routines to the U.S. Age Group Championship held in Seattle Wash., at the North Zone Regional Championship held in Indianapolis, Ind. All routines placing first, second or third advance to the championship meet.

11-12 age group: First-place duet, Katie Kenny of Mount Prospect and Jackie Gorman of Chicago; second place solo, Katie Kenny. Jackie Gorman placed first in U10 Solo.13-15 age group: First-place duet, Jenna Gudritz of Mount Prospect and Sasha Boudko of Wadsworth; second place, Marilee Stonis of Mount Prospect and Emma Schroer of Wheaton; eighth place, Dessi Stamatova of Buffalo Grove and Gabby Stedman of Naperville; solo competition: Sasha Boudko placed first and Emma Schroer second; trio: Jenna Gudritz, Marilee Stonis and Barbara Leane of Des Plaines placed third; team competition: Second place Barbara Leane, Marilee Stonis, Emma Schroer, Dessi Stamatova, Gabby Stedman, Melissa Danikowski of Streamwood, Alice Kenny of Mount Prospect, Megan Moyer of Barrington and Barbara Garcia-Stam of Libertyville.16-17 age group: Solo fourth place, Kirsten James of Lake Zurich.18-19 age group: Solo first place, Rachel Ramberg of Bartlett; second, Hannah Metcalf of Mount Prospect; duet second place, Kirsten and Libby Meadows of Glenview; trio second place, Rachel Ramberg and Hannah and Jeannie Peters of Winnetka; second place team, Sasha Boudko, Jenna Gudritz, Kirsten and Libby Meadows, Jeannie and Hannah Peters and Rachel Ramberg.
