Elk Grove Lions Club installs new officers, directors

The Elk Grove Lions Club held its annual election of new officers and directors. Installation of officers took place June 15.

The officers/directors for 2011-2012 are: Anne Feichter, president; Katy Dolan Baumer, secretary; Mike Baumer, treasurer; Kirk Reasoner, first vice president; Vicki Bogolin, second vice president; Janice Pope, third vice president; Bill Butchart, immediate past president; Barb Lahtinen, tail twister; Lenore Zumph, lion tamer; Mike Baumer, life director; Chuck Burkot, first-year director; Don Vogt, first-year director; Rich Keyworth, second-year director; and Angie Foster, second-year director.

The Lions are recognized worldwide for their service to the blind and visually impaired.

Lions are also involved in a variety of other activities to improve their communities and help people in need, such as assisting the hearing-impaired, providing diabetes awareness and education materials, working on environmental projects and developing youth programs.
