The story of every couple's life together is really a series of little stories.

The movie when you first held hands. The ice cream cone shared on a summer evening's walk. The day you became parents.

It's a history full of milestones, joys and hurdles. Happy stories, maybe a few sad ones, too. Some become tales told and retold at family gatherings, others are memories that resurface unexpectedly.

And sometime between The First Date Story and The Wedding Day Story lies The Proposal Story, each as individual as the couple and the person popping the question.

While you're reflecting on the chapters of your own love stories, we're celebrating Valentine's Day by having several DuPage County couples recount the day they got engaged.

We hope you'll enjoy their stories almost as much as recalling your own.
