Northwest Festival concert on Friday

The Northwest Festival Orchestra, a 58-member professional ensemble, will perform in concert at 8 p.m. Friday, March 26 in the Performing Arts Center at Harper College.

Conducted by Verne Schwager, the program features works from the two great composers of the Classical period, Mozart and Beethoven.

The orchestra will perform Mozart's 17th Piano Concerto (G major), featuring soloist Katie Hamada, and Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 (A major).

Joining the orchestra for this concert will be oboist Orion Rapp, from the Cleveland Institute of Music, and guest concertmaster Charles Pikler.

Tickets $20; $10 seniors and students.
