Medical care should be open to all

Many people in the U.S. do have access to some of the best health care in the world, but an unacceptable proportion of Americans cannot get the care they need because they have no health insurance, or because it is so limited in scope that they don't make the attempt to get it.

And when they really do have to get health care, they end up going to the expensive emergency room, which then costs taxpayers and the people who do pay for insurance. Also, most people without medical advice do not know what measures they could be taking in order to simply stay healthy. Instead of allowing health insurance companies to limit the people covered, we really need to do everything we can to make sure that everyone is assured of paid medical care.
