New principal namedJill Mau will be Half Day School's principal starting July 1, the Lincolnshire-Prairie View Elementary District 103 school board decided Monday. Mau was among 70 applicants for the post. She is a former District 103 administrator. Mau will replace Jennifer Able, who is taking a job in a different district.Young artists exhibition The Round Lake Area Schools Young Artist Exhibition opens from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 11 at the Cultural Civic Center of Round Lake Beach, 2007 Civic Center Way, off Hook Drive behind Regal Cinemas on Rollins Road. The exhibition will feature nearly 200 pieces from middle school and high school students. Besides opening night, the Center community viewing hours are 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The job resource fair is designed to match local employers with young adults aged 15 to 21, who are looking for full-time, part-time or seasonal positions. Some of the employers include Six Flags Great America, TCF Bank, Round Lake Area Park District and Clowning Around Entertainment. The event will be at the Physical Education Center (Gymnasium, Building 7) on the Grayslake Campus, 19351 W. Washington St. Parking is available in lots 2 and 3.
