Glenbard GPS to host 'The High Performer in You' Sept. 8
The Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families and Families of African American Students United for Excellence and Equity (FUSE) will host a special "Back to School" event and luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, in the library at Glenbard South, 23W200 Butterfield Road in Glen Ellyn.
As parents/guardians, are you exuding high performance in your own life and career, and are you setting the best example of high performance for young people?
In "The High Performer in You: Academic Recognition Event," Peter A. James will provide five areas that will allow people to initiate a high-performance mindset in both their personal and professional lives. While this will benefit the leader, employee or entrepreneur, it also will provide a solid example for young people.
Continuing professional development units are available.
James, professor of business and entrepreneurship at the College of DuPage, is a certified business and leadership coach who focuses on helping executives and business units transform from average to high performing. James' career has taken him from an officer in the U.S. Army, to sales and marketing in a major pharmaceutical firm, to various entrepreneurship ventures and higher education.
Following James' remarks, the FUSE organization invites all to join in lunch as they recognize the academic accomplishment of many Glenbard students at this special family event.
FUSE works to provide Glenbard families with the tools, resources and education to equip students for success. Attend all three FUSE events and be eligible to earn the 2018-19 FUSE $1,000 scholarship.
