Wolves head into all-star break with a win
TUCSON, Ariz. -- In their final game before the AHL All-Star Break, the Chicago Wolves held off the Tucson Roadrunners 4-3 on Saturday night at Tucson Arena.
Forwards Tobias Lindberg, Bryce Gervais, T.J. Tynan and Stefan Matteau scored for the Wolves (22-15-6-2), who moved past Rockford into third place in the Central Division.
Tynan, named to the AHL All-Star roster earlier in the day, delivered a power-play goal with 23 seconds left in the second period to snap a 2-2 tie. Matteau added another power-play goal early in the third as the Wolves twice took advantage of a five-minute major slashing penalty against Tucson defenseman Joel Hanley.
Wolves goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo (10-10-2) posted 25 saves to earn his third win in the last four games. Adin Hill (9-10-1) stopped 22 shots for the Pacific Division-leading Roadrunners (23-13-2-1).
