Boys state soccer in Hoffman Estates between Libertyville and Naperville North turned into a fog bowl with Naperville claiming the title. Photographers like myself have to shoot in all types of weather and fog can make focusing a little tricky. The last time I shot a fog bowl was the Chicago Bears against the Philadelphia Eagles 1988 Division Playoff game. The first half was clear and sunny but by the second half the fog rolled in and I could not see anything on the football field. Truly amazing! This photo was published in the Perspective column in the print edition of the Daily Herald. Mark Welsh | Staff Photographer
