All of this and more awaits at the Chicago Travel & Adventure Show, returning to Rosemont Jan. 17-18, at Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.

In its 11th year, the show will have more than 1,200 travel experts from the world's top destinations, tours and suppliers to help travelers find, plan and book a dream vacation. With seminars and workshops on five educational stages, visitors do more than just hear about exotic places -- they experience firsthand the tastes and the sounds.

Sponsored by the Travel Channel, the Travel & Adventure Show hosts celebrities in the 1,000+ seat Travel Channel Theater, including Cheryl Strayed, who will discuss the transformative 1,100-mile hike along the Pacific Crest Trail that became The New York Times best-seller "Wild".

The weekend also includes travel experts, the Travel Channel's Samantha Brown; Peter Greenberg, Emmy-winning investigative reporter and travel news journalist; Pauline Frommer, editorial director of the Frommer's Guides and Frommers.com; and Patricia Schultz, best-selling author of "1,000 Places to See Before You Die."

At the Destination Theater, gain insight and in-depth information about specific destinations ranging from Tahiti to Alaska. At the Savvy Traveler Stage, gain how-to tips on how to travel smarter using the latest products and technology. At the Taste of Travel Stage, top chefs hold live cooking demonstrations and offer samples. At the Global Beats Stage, feel the rhythm of exotic cultures in more than 20 live performances.

In addition, more than 300 exhibitors from are there from national and international destinations -- ranging from Mexico to India, Tahiti to the Florida Keys, and closer-to-home destinations in Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan.
