For good of everybody, go home

Interesting that the only supporters Roland Burris seems to have left are old-time Chicago pols. Ed Burke speaks out for him, and Mayor Daley says nothing one way or the other. If we are going to get Burris to do the right thing, maybe it's time for the big guns. What if President Obama himself asks him to resign? Isn't it a bit embarrassing for him to now have Burris in his old seat? Shouldn't Illinois be at the top of the list of states with influential senators now? How is that going to happen with Burris there? How can you have any sort of effective senator in a major state if he essentially has said he won't talk to the media? How is that supposed to work? The president, Harry Reid and Dick Durbin all have to tell Burris straight out, "Roland, for the good of everybody, go home."
