Man’s appeal for burning corpse rejected
FOND DU LAC, Wis. — A man who helped burn a woman’s corpse and dispose of the ashes in Lake Winnebago has lost an appeal to modify his sentence.
Donald Worth was sentenced to 10 years in prison for helping dispose of Renee Redmer’s body.
After sentencing, it was determined Worth was not eligible for the earned release program because of the crime of which he was convicted. Worth asked for a new sentencing hearing to consider that factor. A Fond du Lac County judge denied his request. WLUK-TV says a state appeals court ruled against Worth in an opinion released Wednesday.
Redmer’s boyfriend, Brandon Mueller, was sentenced to life in prison for killing her.
