Marriage ruling won’t be the end

So! According to “Gay marriage issue heads to Supreme Court” (6-1-12), the Supreme Court will now be forced to rule on the constitutionality of same-sex “marriage”!

Personally, I am strongly opposed to the desires, actions, or demands of those who practice or support homosexuality, and I believe there are unassailable moral and biological reasons for my opinions. However, it is the nine members of our Supreme Court who will decide the question.

What can we expect from them? Perhaps a 5-4 decision, with the opinion of the swing vote hanging in the balance?

For homosexual activists, it has been a long and persistent campaign, and the decision of the court will not end their activity. The current struggle began with the issuance of the “1972 Gay Rights Platform,” a statement of 17 federal and state demands. “Marriage” is but one of their demands.

If the Supreme Court actually evaluates both the causes for the homosexual addiction and the activities which result from it, the court will reject, 9-0, the demands listed in that 1972 document

Such an outcome is unlikely. Not all of the justices will consider the 20-year life span reduction of homosexuals; or the broad range of diseases homosexuality spreads to our population; or that fidelity is not a feature of homosexual “marriage”. No, the overriding concern of the liberal justices is likely to be support for the “fundamental change” promised by our president.
