Sentry Security inks merger deal

Wheeling-based Sentry Security, an independent security company, has merged with Schaumburg Security Services Inc.

The combined company will operate under the Sentry Security name from the current Sentry offices in Wheeling.

The Schaumburg Security transaction represents the eighth alarm-company merger that Sentry has consummated in the last six years and increases its customer base by more than 10 percent.

Jerry Santo Sr. founded Schaumburg Security in 1970.
