People on the move: New hires at Fehr Graham, Lavelle Law, Pulse Technology

Fehr Graham, a leading Midwest engineering and environmental firm based in Aurora, has hired Lynn Smith as an environmental project manager.

Smith is leading business development efforts and overseeing a diverse range of projects, including brownfield redevelopment. She has expertise in environmental due diligence assessments, soil and waste management consultation, regulatory site investigations and remediation. Her experience also extends to asbestos, lead, and mold inspection and abatement. She brings experience in project and program management and real estate and transaction advisory consultation.

Smith is a member of the American Institute of Professional Geologists Indiana and Illinois Section where she previously served as a board member. She contributes to the Commercial Real Estate Executive Women, Chicago Chapter, of which she is a former board member, 2022 Member of the Year and 2024 Distinguished Notable Advisory Board Member.

Christie Ainge

The firm also hired Christie Ainge as a senior structural engineer and Dave Peters as a project manager.

Ainge brings a decade of experience in structural engineering from the power industry where she had a lead role on design projects and front-end engineering design studies related to carbon capture and storage and environmental retrofit. Her expertise includes analyzing, designing and modifying structures. She designs and reviews structural plans and specifications for municipal water and wastewater treatment projects.

Dave Peters

Peters brings more than two decades of experience in municipal and urban planning, development, operations and public works management to Fehr Graham. He successfully has spearheaded design and construction projects, coordinated staff, and collaborated with engineering firms and vendors.

Law firm associate

Mitchell J. Parker

Schaumburg-based Lavelle Law has hired Mitchell J. Parker as an associate.

Parker will handle clients in the litigation, business, and securities practice groups at the firm.

Parker graduated from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, cum laude, with a certificate in environmental and energy law. At Chicago-Kent, Parker received five CALI Awards.

Business development executive

Maleeha Mazhar

Midwest firm Pulse Technology has named Maleeha Mazhar of Schaumburg as business development executive.

Mazhar will work with new and existing businesses primarily in Cook County assisting with their technical needs, including managed print services, managed network (IT), videconferencing, and software automation.

She has worked with eLumin, based in Virginia, as an account executive in the Chicago area. She additionally was a business development executive in the Chicago area with Norway-based Neat, which designs devices for Microsoft and Zoom meetings. She also served as business development executive for Bectran, Inc., in Schaumburg.
