'Thriving With Autism' piano performance Monday in Mount Prospect
An accomplished pianist, accompanist and composer with autism will perform Monday night at the Mount Prospect Public Library.
"Thriving With Autism: A Piano Performance with Dr. Charles Smith" will be hosted by the library in meeting room A in partnership with state Rep. Jonathan Carroll, state Sen. Julie Morrison and U.S. Rep. Brad Schneider. The performance begins at 6:30 p.m., and is followed by a Q&A session.
A Chicago native, Smith has written some 500 compositions, including reinterpretations of pieces by Chopin and Liszt, and an arrangement of Christmas music. To RSVP, contact (847) 253-5675.
