Get your 'Hero' on for the Human Race April 24
At 8 a.m. Sunday, April 24, the gun will sound and the biker bunny will take off at the McHenry County Human Race's "Get Your Hero On." Hundreds of walkers and runners will follow showing their support for McHenry County charities.
The McHenry County Human Race is supporting 67 charity programs this year. Runners and walkers choose which organization their registration fee will benefit and have the opportunity to go a step further and raise pledges for one of the participating organizations.
The 5K run/walk takes place at McHenry County College, 8900 Route 14 in Crystal Lake. Each Human Race participant will receive a T-shirt, finish medal and will be chipped timed.
Inside MCC is music, food, selfie spots, nonprofit expo and heroes. For information about running or walking, visit www.mchumanrace.org or call (815) 344-GIVE (4483).
The Human Race is organized by your Volunteer Center of McHenry County. The Human Race is a great place to learn about local nonprofits at the expo. Talk with more than 40 nonprofits in the expo or come to cheer on the race participants.
