ChildServ announces Hawk Touchdown for Kids Program donation to kids at risk

Chicago, Ill. - April 26, 2017 - ChildServ, a nonprofit building better lives for children at risk, partnered last fall with the Hawk Touchdown for Kids Program, benefitting the children and families in the agency's programs.

"We are truly grateful for the unbelievable kindness and generosity of Maine South football fans and the members of the community who donated to help the children and families in our care to achieve their potential," said Dan Kotowski, president and CEO of ChildServ. "We would like to thank Luke Passaneau and the Hawk Touchdown for Kids program for choosing ChildServ as this year's recipient, and congratulate the Maine South Hawks on winning their first state championship since 2010!"

The Hawk Touchdown for Kids program supports the Maine South Hawks football team, and each season chooses a local children's charity as its beneficiary and encourages pledges of $1 (or more) for every touchdown that the team scores - including the IHSA playoffs.

This season, the Hawk Touchdown for Kids program raised a total of $6,160 to help the children and families in ChildServ's programs to build better lives. Throughout Maine South's 14-game season, the team scored 71 touchdowns while the program's per touchdown pledge reached $61. The program also received $1,900 in cash donations from fans and members of the community.
