Woman dies in Hanover Park house fire

A woman was found dead after a fire Thursday night at a house in Hanover Park.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not yet released the identity of the 69-year-old woman.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. in the 7800 block of Kingsbury Drive.
The house was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived, according to a news release from the Hanover Park police and fire departments.
Firefighters were not able to finish an initial search for people, due to the extensive fire and structural instability. They reentered once the fire was extinguished.
The woman lived in the home.
Authorities have not determined the cause yet, but do not believe it was suspicious.
