We need truth even more than change

In response to criticism "from Democrats, independent groups and even some Republicans for regularly stretching the truth," about McCain's latest TV ad being the "latest in a number that resort to a dubious disregard for the facts" (both from The New York Times), "McCain's recent assertion on 'The View' that Palin never took earmarks as Alaska governor" (from The Washington Post), and reporting "that Palin didn't really travel inside Iraq as has been claimed" (from The Boston Globe), McCain spokesman Brian Rogers said this to the Politico, "We're running a campaign to win. And we're not too concerned about what the media filter tries to say about it."

So, distorting the truth and outright lying are OK according to the McCain campaign. And this is the "change" that McCain/Palin are advocating after the 8 years of the Bush administration? An emphatic No Thank You to that sort of "change."
