Trump’s rhetoric belies his own experience
There is not one person in our country, who is not here because of an immigrant. It does not matter in what year they came, from the 1400’s or early to just yesterday. Every person’s family has a immigrant story to tell.
And that’s my point. All we hear from Trump is bad mouthing immigrants blaming them for anything he can think to lie about. But think about it, our railroad from east to west were built by immigrants our bridges, dam’s cities and churches were all built by immigrants, our farm fields & stockyards were work by immigrants. Without them this country would not be as great as it is. And it will continue be great, because of them.
In 1930 a young seventeen year old girl immigrated to this country from Scotland. Arriving in New York City on May 11. One day after her 18th birthday. When she left her home in Scotland, Scotland was going thru some very hard times. It was very poor & jobs were hard to find. When she got here she worked as a domestic servant for at about four years, before getting married. Her first two children were born before she became a Naturalized citizen in 1942. Her son Donald J Trump was born 1946. In 1948 the birth of her last son led to an emergency hysterectomy, which she barely survived.
So how can Trump say so many lies & mean things about immigrants and care so little about women’s health? When his own mother was an immigrant just 84 years ago and almost died during child birth. We all need to learn our own family history and this county’s history. Donald Trump needs to take a good look in a mirror.
