Campton Hills man facing drug, weapons charges
A 43-year-old Campton Hills man is facing a bevy of drug and weapons charges following a raid late last month at his home.
Michael T. Sund is charged with nine felonies and one misdemeanor, court records show stemming from the Aug. 30 raid.
According to Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie Mosser, authorities recovered more than 200 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, more than 2,000 grams of cannabis, less than 15 grams of cocaine and less than 50 grams of Xanax.
Additionally, 24 firearms were recovered as well, including 17 unserialized weapons, three of which were machine guns. Investigators also recovered more than 5,000 rounds of ammunition as well as various magazines and gun parts.
Sund is being held at the Kane County jail. His next court date is Friday.
