Naperville home deemed uninhabitable following Wednesday fire

Naperville firefighters are investigating the cause of a Wednesday fire in the 700 block of Wildflower Circle.

Firefighters responded to the home around 12:36 p.m. When they arrived, the side and roof of the home were on fire, with the flames extending to a neighboring residence. Firefighters requested a box alarm and additional crews to bring the blaze under control.

Officials say the fire was under control by 1:25 p.m.

There were no reported injuries. Fire officials estimated damage to the home, which was deemed uninhabitable, at $300,000.

Bolingbrook, Lisle-Woodridge, Warrenville, Oswego, Plainfield and Westmont fire departments provided assistance along with the Naperville Police Department and the city’s electric, transportation and engineering departments.
