Hanover Township Senior Art Show kicks off Aug. 1

Hanover Township older adults will display works of art at the township’s 18th annual art show, “HT Creates,” running Aug. 1 through the 28. Community members of all ages are encouraged to stop by and view the paintings, ceramics, and other handcrafts by local seniors at the Hanover Township Senior Center, 240 S. Route 59, Bartlett.

“Township senior artists have worked hard all year in creating projects to display at the show for friends, family and residents,” said Megan Conway, director of Aging Services. “While everyone is invited to view the art exhibited throughout the center, we especially encourage older adults, even remotely interested in learning about our classes, to stop by the art room or front desk and talk with a staff member.”

The public is welcome to attend an artist reception from 1-4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1, at the center. Light snacks and a cash wine bar will be available.

For information, call the Hanover Township Senior Center at (630) 483-5600.
